Bend Research Inc., a growing, multidisciplinary contract research
and development company specializing in new pharmaceutical
technologies to improve human and animal health, is seeking M.S. or
Ph.D-Level Mechanical Engineers. Successful candidates will have
strong understanding of fundamental theories, mathematical
(steady-state and dynamic) modeling, and experimental design, as well
as hands-on abilities and the ability to analyze and clearly present
experimental results. Experience with 218, Matlab, signal processing,
control system design (MPC, optimization, automation
hardware/software), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and latent
variable modeling is also desirable, as is a background in an
experimental lab environment. Strong communication skills are
required due to the strong teamwork orientation of the company, the
multidisciplinary nature of the work, and the customer interaction
that is required. In addition, successful candidates must be able to
learn quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment. A
sense of humor is essential.
