We have an opening for a talented, innovative mechanical engineer in
our Product Development group to assist with development and testing
for our suite of monitoring devices. This is a great opportunity for
a recent graduate to work in an exciting and supportive startup
environment as we bring new concepts through the development stages
and into the market. Responsibilities include:
* Develop, execute and document mechanical design and materials
testing and verification
* Develop and qualify new test protocols, ensuring that test
objectives are effectively incorporated
* Design and coordinate the fabrication of unique test fixtures
required for protocol execution
* Iterate and improve upon existing product designs using knowledge
gained through testing
* Perform design and analysis as needed to support new product
development efforts
We are looking for a mechanical engineer with a diversity of
experiences, technical skills and interests to match the needs of a
fast$B!>(Jmoving startup. This individual should be creative,
hands$B!>(Jon and interested in the challenges surrounding medical
devices and bio$B!>(Jinterface design. The preferred candidate would have:
* Bachelor$B!G(Js degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
technical discipline, recent graduate preferred
* Familiarity with analog and digital electronics
* Ability to translate complex requirements into specific and
measureable test objectives
* Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team
* Self-motivated and disciplined to meet deadlines in the context of
competing priorities and projects
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Experience with solid modeling and engineering drawing creation
using Solidworks
* Experience using LabView to acquire and process analog data from a
variety of sources
