Senior R&D Engineer, The Foundry (Menlo Park, CA)
Join the latest company to spin out of the
Foundry, a medical device incubator which has
successfully started ten different companies. Our
company is seeking a motivated, creative and
hands-on engineer who can design products and
take them through to execution in clinical trials and commercial success.
The ideal candidate will have:
· BSME or MSME
· 6-10 years experience in medical device
R&D, preferably in a start-up environment
· Ability to quickly prototype product
concepts in the lab and machine shop
· Equipment design experience with
mechanisms, machined parts, molded parts, pneumatics and hydraulics
· Project management skills and experience
documenting designs as well as developing product
specifications, test protocols and manufacturing instructions
· Ability to identify and manage outside vendors and consultants
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
