Manufacturing Solutions Specialist
An Autodesk Education Solutions Specialist (ESS) is a technical
specialist who works with the Education Strategic Executives to drive
adoption of Autodesk?s 3D solutions at named colleges and universities
in the assigned Geo. The Solutions Specialist thoroughly understands
the capabilities of the Autodesk solutions in the mechanical design &
engineering disciplines and the benefits education customers can
realize by adopting those solutions. The Autodesk Solutions Specialist
understands the challenges for instructors and departments to update
or change their existing curriculum.

The Solutions Specialist can confidently suggest and demonstrate how
Autodesk solutions will help the customer address their issues and
achieve their education goals. A Solutions Specialist exhibits strong
industry knowledge which is directly supported by experience and
education in their discipline. The Solutions Specialist is well versed
in the vernacular of the industry and conversant about new
technologies and processes and can relate them to the higher education
market. They understand how to uncover core causes for customer?s
issues and can relate them to personal experiences and the experiences
of other customers to gain confidence to find solutions.

A Solutions Specialist will be aware of the complete Autodesk
offering, and not simply the solutions offered by their division. As
such, the Solutions Specialist will have a functional knowledge of the
other available Autodesk solutions and will be able to engage the
Solutions Specialists from the other divisions to extend Autodesk?s
reach into our client?s business.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Use knowledge of software and industry to help the Autodesk Education
Strategic Representatives drive adoption of Autodesk?s 3D solutions at
leading higher education institutions; assist through independent
customer visits, virtual follow-up (telephone, e-mail, et al), and
secure trusted advisor status with the customer.
Leverage all available resources to develop solutions that satisfy
technical and curriculum requirements of the customer.
Conduct introductory product training for faculty and staff and
provide in-depth product presentations to faculty, staff, and/or
students.
Participating/leading one-on-one and team sessions with peers,
colleagues, partners and customers that highlight the Autodesk
solution in the light of business objectives, business issues and
their resolution.
Take ownership of their chosen field of expertise, and maintain an
active dialog back to Division in order to keep the team abreast of
upcoming enhancements and functionality.
Maintain a high degree of professionalism throughout all aspects of
the job. Project confidence and thought leadership regarding our
overall Solution.
Develop and maintain skills that allow for more effective
dissemination of technical knowledge, including Presentation Skills,
Communication Skills, and ESS Skills.
Develops long term customer relationships and achieves customer
satisfaction goals.
Maintain and grow respected, trusted advisor relationships with
customers and members of the Autodesk Education team involved with the
opportunity.
Promote WW Student community web site to all eligible educational
institutions.
Drive massive student adoption for priority division products.
Collect & update instructor database
Provide monthly reporting on account development progress

Requirements:
Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time
BA/BS plus 5 years minimum experience in university-level education
account management, training or sales in mechanical design &
engineering discipline. Prior work and sales experience highly
desirable.
