Company: Alloy Product Development, Inc.
Location: Downtown San Francisco, CA

Alloy Product Development is a consulting firm focused on the mechanical
engineering of consumer electronics, household goods, professional
equipment, and medical devices. We are a selective group of 15+ mechanical
engineers looking for people who take pride in doing fantastic work and
strive to constantly refine their professional skills.

We have recently expanded into a new office with room to grow and clients
asking for more resources. But finding great engineers has always been
our biggest challenge. We've built a world-class team, but we spend too
much time away from our projects doing it. We've tried outside
recruiters, but have not been satisfied with the pool of candidates. We
need someone internal who is intimately familiar with our team, goals, and
vision to help us attract, identify, and hire the very best. We also want
to make sure that once someone is hired, we follow up with the proper
systems and support to make sure they are as effective and invested as
possible for a mutually strong future.

Specific job responsibilities will include:
- Attract: Find ways to raise awareness of Alloy among potential
candidate pools. For example, organize our yearly attendance of the
Berkley engineering job fair. Post jobs in the most strategic locations.
- Identify: Learn what is important to Alloy by interviewing our team.
In-person and on-line networking (such as LinkedIn) to find passive
candidates. Narrow down to a few great candidates to minimize team
investment in interview time. Help tune our interview process to be
efficient and effective.
- Hire: Research and understand comparable industry compensation.
Develop competitive offers.
- Develop: Help put in processes for getting new employees up to speed
as quickly as possible.
- Retain: Keep a pulse on the team to make sure Alloy is as attractive
from the inside as it is from the outside. Regularly meet with employees
to understand the pros and cons of working at Alloy so we can continue to
improve.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in a professional office environment.
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills as an
outward representative of Alloy.
- Positive attitude and self motivation with minimal direction.
- Great attention to detail and time management skills.
- Technical aptitude to identify skills in areas that are not your
expertise.

Bonus qualifications include:
- Prior HR experience
- Prior experience in a consultancy

Domestic applicants only. No paid relocation. No recruiters.

Compensation: Competitive salary, insurance benefits, bonus.

Company Description:
Founded in 2008 by two Stanford grads, Alloy Product Development takes
client's ideas from concept to production. We follow a methodology of
Conceive-Execute-Communicate, and believe that the application of sound
engineering principles is often the difference between a class-leading
product and the rest of the pack.
