Sr. Mechanical Engineer
Our Sr. Mechanical Engineer will lead teams through the design and development
of products based on a wide range of technologies applied to a broad spectrum
of markets. In addition to hands on development, coordination and leading
projects through the project development cycle, resolving issues within
engineering groups while at the same time assisting with managing client
relationships. Therefore we are looking for a technically talented,
entrepreneurial individual who likes to solve tough engineering problems in
unique ways. Most of our designs involve tight integration of electronic and
mechanical systems, so a high degree of creativity is required to solve
problems and create designs which do not have textbook solutions.
Key Performance Objectives
o Develop and invent mechanical hardware for D2M’s products. Show
initiative, imagination in coming up with superior solutions. Facilitate and
lead projects through D2M’s project and product life cycle processes.
o Actively participates and leads D2M’s ideation practices, including
brainstorming, design reviews both informal and formal.
o Take over technical leadership of a
particular sub/system while embodying
D2M’s design principals.
o Serves as consultant to Clients and applies broad base of technical
knowledge to achieve goals, objectives and solutions in creative ways.
Basic Experience:
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or equivalent annd 10 or
more years experience in the following areas:
• Hands-on experience leading
interdisciplinary teams resulting iin a proven
track record in schedule and budget performance in the process of bringing new
products into production.
• Complete product life cycle experience - architecture, engineerring,
transfer manufacturing, and stringent QA goals
• Experience bringing new products into
production including: exaamples of
work involving industrial design, electrical design and manufacturing
specialists to optimize a product solution.
• Expert level experience in architecting, designing, documentingg, and
manufacturing of mid to high volume complex consumer and/or medical products.
• Expert knowledge of manufacturing
processes such as injection mmolding, die
casting, and sheet metal stamping
• Strong working use of analytical techniques to support part andd system
level designs including basic calculations, structural Finite Element
Analysis, and Thermal Analysis
• Working experience with quality control procedures including ISSO 9000.
• 3-D solid modeling experience in Pro
/Engineer Wildfire and Soolidworks
• Experienced in working with industrial
designers, product markeeting and
user interface design.
