Mechanical Design Engineer

Ardica Technologies, a San Francisco based
Stanford spin-off, is creating high-performance
personal power solutions for military and
consumer markets based on proprietary fuel cell
technology. We are looking for a driven,
self-motivated, and experienced mechanical design
engineer to enlarge our team. You will be working
in a fast-paced task-driven environment,
interacting with system testing,
hardware/software design, system architecture,
and product design team members. This is a
full-time position and on-site presence will be required.

Responsibilities

•Product design for portable power systems,
including component layout, user interface design, DFM/DFA

•Component testing and characterization,
utilizing general principles of fluid mechanics,
thermodynamics, chemical and electrical engineering.


Qualifications

•MS or PhD in mechanical engineering, or 5 years+
of relevant experience in product design, component design, or related fields.

•Experience developing products from concept stage to high volume production.

•Good oral and written communication skills and
the ability to work well as a part of an interdisciplinary team.

•CAD skills in Solidworks required, or deep knowledge of equivalent CAD system.

•Experience programming LabView a plus.
