Alveo Energy is a new San Francisco bay area start up company that is
developing a radical new type of battery technology designed from
scratch for long cycle life/high power stationary storage and
selected transit applications. These batteries are based on a new
class of electrode materials and safe, inexpensive water-based
electrolytes. The result is a more powerful, more efficient battery
that lasts longer and costs less than existing technologies.

Alveo is currently seeking candidates for a handful of paid summer
internship positions. The ME intern at Alveo will learn to build,
test, and iteratively prototype lab-scale batteries, as well as to
design custom cell processing and assembly procedures. The ME intern
will also learn to synthesize and process battery electrode materials
from raw chemical precursors through to the final electrodes.
Competitive applicants will have strong engineering design skills,
prior experience building experimental set-ups, and a solid
foundation in mechanical engineering, material science, or a related
field. Prior knowledge of battery chemistry is not required.

Summer internships at Alveo will have flexible start and end dates of
approximately June 15 and September 15. Talented interns that perform
exceptionally well may be offered full time positions.

If you have an interest in an internship at Alveo, please do not
hesitate to contact us at

hearing from you soon.
