Summer Opportunity for Visual UX Designer

The company:
Tricipe is a small travel startup participating
in Lightspeed Venture Partner's Summer
Fellowship Program

We are developing a travel web and mobile app
making trip planning easier (and more fun) one traveler at a time.

The position:
We are looking for a motivated UX Interface
Designer with strong visual design skills to work
directly with our 3 founders in designingÂ
innovative responsive product experiences. We
will be working out of Lightspeed's office space
in Palo Alto, getting mentorship and guidance
from the industry's best on entrepreneurship,
and taking our product from beta to launch in 10
weeks. You will get a front row seat to the
makings of a startup and you will be responsible
for executing visual interface and interaction
design for our application across web and mobile
devices under the guidance of our user experience lead.Â

Main Responsibility:
• Create visual design, visual assets and click-through protottypes

Other Responsibilities can include the followingÂ
(based on skills and interest):Â
•Â Develop and evaluate innovative visual design
solutionss for user interface problemsÂ
• Define icon style and designÂ
• Create design artifacts in various levels of
fidelity from wwireframes to prototypesÂ
• Collaborate with founders on interaction
design, product mannagement, code development, and business management
• Partner with developer to oversee design implementationÂÂ
• Facilitate and participate in usability testing

Skills/Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in or completed a degree in
Computer Scieence, Human Computer Interaction,
Graphic Design, Arts or a related discipline
•Â Must be proficient in various visual design
tools - Adoobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and
other prototyping/web 2.0 technologies
• Must be able to create dynamic visual
designs/assets which wwill be used for the
product, usability tests and product demos
• Strong understanding of principles in
interaction design, viisual design, and
information architecture; knowledge of web UI patterns
• Strong understanding of web & mobile production
techniquues at all levels of resolution

Compensation:
This is a 10 week engagement starting in June for
$10,000, with an opportunity to become a
full-time hire after initial contract period.
