experienced Test Engineer to provide final
assembly and mechanical, electrical and software
testing of high precision atomic force
microscopes as part of our service and support

The ideal candidate will first train for an
extended period of time in the Santa Barbara
office before relocating to the east coast in a
remote applications and support role.
Â
The Role
Essential duties of the position include the following:
+ Complete standardized tests on AFM systems and generate test reports
+ Troubleshoot systems electronically and mechanically during testing
+ Interface with application scientists and R&D
department for product development support
+ Provide customer support via email and telephone
+ Travel to customer sites for installations, service or training
The Candidate
A successful candidate will have:
+ BS/MS/PhD in Engineering, Electronics, Physics,
Material Science, or equivalent experience
+ Background in scanning probe/atomic force microscopy preferred
+ Mechanical design and electronics aptitude
+ Programming skills a plus (IGOR Pro)
+ Previous customer service and support experience
+ Detail oriented and self-starter attitude
+ Ability to excel in a fast-paced customer-focused team environment
+ Excellent customer interaction and communication skills
