Position Title: Embedded Systems Engineer

Summary of Role:
Element Science is looking for an experienced and passionate Embedded
Systems Engineer to join our Research and Development group. If your
idea of fun is bringing up a board in the lab, acquiring biosignals,
or debugging electronics and firmware at a fast-paced Series A
medical device startup, come join us. You will lead system
integration of hardware and firmware, bring up prototypes, assist
with requirements definition, and perform system level
characterization testing.
Deliverables:
* Apply system level methodologies to help specify requirements and
lead integration of hardware and firmware for a class III medical device
* Analyze system level tradeoffs to determine and implement best
ways to optimize design performance
* Lead and perform system level characterization testing
* Assist in system verification and validation
Qualifications:
* Engineering BS minimum, MS preferred)
* 2-7 years of experience (candidates for more senior roles also welcomed)
* Accomplished at developing products with microprocessors and sensors
* Familiarity with analog signal acquisition electronics
* Embedded software implementation and board-level hardware design capability
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to
work effectively across functions
