Systems Engineering Program Manager _at_ Nest (Palo Alto, CA)
Nest is searching for a highly technical System Engineering Program
Manager to coordinate, develop, and drive Nest product initiatives.
The work:
* Build, drive, and own new Nest product development from concept
to launch
* Develop, maintain, and communicate key focus points and next
steps with management, engineering, design operations, and marketing
* Improve and maintain processes that can ensure team members
have what they need to understand and execute on all objectives
Minimum qualifications:
* B.S. or M.S. Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or other
related technical field
* 3 years direct engineering or engineering program management experience
Preferred qualifications:
* Strong ownership, great leader, and team worker
* Ability to jump in and do whatever it takes to ship it
* Expert ability to get things done and drive several tasks to closure
* Experience shipping high volume / high quality products
* Strong ability to capture the big picture quickly and focus on
key points
* Passion for improving processes, plans, and all things that are
simply broken
* Strong technical experience in engineering program management,
team lead, and/or design engineering
* Extraordinary program management talent and communication skills
* Ability to travel internationally
