TITLE: VP of Clinical Marketing

SUMMARY
Neptune Medical is a lean and innovative Silicon
Valley start-up commercializing high clinical
value devices for gastroenterology. We are
seeking a high-performance individual who can
lead and manage clinical marketing. The ideal
candidate would display the ability to perform to
the below requirements, would show a high level
of individual responsibility, and would act with
passion and intensity in a VC-funded medical
device start-up that is fast-paced and collaborative.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Understand procedure and clinician needs
while working with the development team to evolve
next-generation product, including those ideas
that lead to an enhanced intellectual property portfolio.
· Understand and develop strategies relative
to both competitive threats and new opportunities.
· Write business plans for next generation product opportunities.
· Develop clinical protocols, case report
forms, and other study planning & monitoring documents.
· Observe cases in the field.
· Proctor cases with our device.
· Develop and teach training materials.
· Develop clinical marketing literature and strategy.
· Create, implement, and lead plans for trade shows and conferences.
· Develop and execute podium strategy.
· Develop and manage regulatory strategy.
· Work with clinicians to develop studies
and articles for clinical publication.
· Develop a solid understanding of the field’s clinical literature.
· Assemble, coordinate and direct efforts of
the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB).
· Foster Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
· Strategize product reimbursement activities.
· Work closely with the salesforce.
· Assist in international distributor market development.
· Lead product launches.
· Procure, analyze, and report key market information to senior staff.
· Create and execute customer service programs.
· Develop market forecasts.
· Work with IRBs.
· Create company’s web presence.
· Recruit and manage staff.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
· Hands-on leader.
· Proven track record as a pivotal part of a
team that commercially launched and ramped a
successful new start-up product. Give us examples!
· Experience in a start-up environment
wearing multiple hats. What is the best part of
start-ups for you? What is the worst?
· Strong clinical background with a thorough
knowledge of anatomy & disease, clinical
literature, and medical procedure development. Do
your current professional contacts include MDs?
· B.S. or M.S. in Biology, Engineering,
Pre-Med, Business, or related degrees.
· 8+ years of work experience in a medical device firm. GI preferred.
· 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting endo suite preferred.
· 3+ years managing a technical or clinical team.
· Experience creating and managing
schedules, budgets, and plans. Give us examples!
· A willingness to work hard, with a driven
outlook and with a strong desire to succeed as an
individual, as a manager, as a leader, and as a key part of the company.
· An inventive aptitude balanced with discipline and detail-orientation.
· Willingness to travel up tto 30% time
including domestically, Asia and / or Europe.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLS
· Proficiency in Japanese or Mandarin.
