Internal designation: R&D Engineer, Electrical Engineering.
Operational supervisor: Staff, Hardware.

Responsibilities
● Administrative
○ Serve as the Company’s inaugural R&D Engineer.
○ Uphold the organization's vision, mission and culture in his/her job.
○ Inspire the relentless and rapid pursuit of audacious goals to enable insanely great Electrical Engineering innovations in the domain of incisionless surgery
○ Manage the Electrical function and make major technical decisions in consultation with the CEO, executives, and peers.
○ Set objectives and key results for the Electrical function to meet the Company’s R&D & Product Development goals.
○ Evaluate and track the Company’s success in meeting its Electrical Engineering goals and objectives.

● Product Development
○ Define the Electrical function’s R&D and Product Development strategy.
○ Design, build, test and debug custom electronic boards and systems.
○ Build prototype high voltage, high frequency systems.

● People Operations
○ Setup and manage the Electrical function’s collaboration structure with internal & external people resources.
○ Attract, retain and grow some of the world's best Electrical R&D talent.

Job Qualifications.
Minimum qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
● At least 3 years of relevant technical leadership experience in a regulated
environment.
● Practical experience using tools such as oscilloscopes, impedance analyzers, volt
meters, etc.
● Industry experience using eCAD tools that resulted in functional boards that met requirements.
● Ability to work with minimal supervision within an environment rich with unsolved science and technology challenges, hazy requirements, and a dynamic team committed to changing the fundamentals of surgery.

Preferred qualifications:
● Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
● At least 5 years of relevant technical leadership experience in a regulated environment.
● Expert in eCAD tools.
● Versed in the state of the art for electronic component design and methodologies.
● Ability to use first principles to optimize circuit design
● Ability to work independently and autonomously within an environment rich with unsolved science and technology challenges, hazy requirements, and a dynamic team committed to changing the fundamentals of surgery.
Measures of Success.
You will have achieved success in this role if:
● The Company has released an incisionless surgery platform ready for human trials.
● The organization has consistently met at least 85% of its planned Electrical Engineering goals & objectives for 3 consecutive years.
● You’ve contributed to a majority of the company’s IP in the Electrical engineering domain.
● You’ve achieved a “Managing Staff” level of expertise in your area of work at the
Company, and are leading a team of at least three (3) Electrical engineers.
● The phrase “incisionless surgery” has become synonymous with the Company’s name.
