Notes:
The Manufacturing Modeling Lab (MML) is headed by Prof. Kos Ishii.
- The lab is a shared resource between M.E. and the Supply Chain Forum, headed by Prof. Hau Lee in the I.E.E.M. Dept.
- The lab conducts a combination of government and industry-sponsored research on technologies and methodologies to address concerns from the entire product life cycle (manufacturing, distribution, maintenance, disposal) as part of the design process.
- The lab typically has a few industrial visitors in residence, interacting with faculty, staff and students.
- MML is also home of the graduate Design for Manufacturability sequence (ME217). ME217 has a large number of off-campus students around the world as well as on-campus teams working on industry-sponsored projects.
