MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Summary
This position will require participation in all aspects of product
development. Responsibilities will range from engineering work (product
design, systems engineering, machine/tooling design, product/process
verification/validation, project management and supervision) to client
interaction (technical, sales and intellectual property). This is a hands-on
job where rapid results are expected and required. Candidates will spend a
fair amount of time coordinating concepts into reality in our on-site
prototype shop.
Requirements
• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering / Materials Science / or similar
discipline with excellent academic record
• 3+ years professional experience
• Versatile skills and technical interests
• Passionate about engineering
• Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts and methods clearly to other
engineers
• Knowledge of welding, heat-treating, metallurgy and materials testing
• Experience with 3D CAD, CAE and structural analysis
• Strong machine shop and prototyping skills
• Excellent project management experience
• Proven ability to take a product from concept through production in a
fast-paced environment
• Personality and interpersonal skills conducive to building trust-based
relationships with clients
• Willingness to travel (<25%)
• Self starter, honest, loyal and reliable
Position is part-time (~50%) to start, with potential for full-time in near
future.
