Zonare Medical Systems has an opening for a Junior Electrical
Engineer to work on state of the art medical electronics and be
mentored by a world class team of medical imaging engineers and
scientists. A successful candidate will be a highly motivated,
hands-on individual who can learn quickly.


Job Title: Junior Electrical Engineer
Department: Hardware Engineering
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports To: Director, Engineering

Major Responsibilities:
Design circuitry for Printed Circuit Boards using OrCad Schematic
then work with the layout designers to create the physical implementation.
Debug board assemblies in laboratory using oscilloscopes and other tools.
Rework boards as necessary.
Build cables, fixtures and other debug tools as necessary.
Investigate Field or Manufacturing problems that escalate to Engineering
Develop firmware as required using C or VHDL.
Document designs through all phases of the development process.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
BSEE (MSEE preferred) with 2 years practical EE experience.
A new graduate with hands on lab experience and internship or summer
job experience could be a successful candidate.
A non-degreed "SuperTech" who is interested in being mentored to be a
designer could be a successful candidate.
Good working knowledge of oscilloscopes.
Both Analog and Digital design experience (FPGAs a plus)
Experience with Schematic entry software, preferably Orcad.
Experience with corporate data base techniques for tracking parts and
creating Bills of Material, preferably Omnify.
Excellent rework skills
Excellent Debugging skills
Excellent Communication skills
Working Conditions:
Job requires some physical activity for this position. Must be able
to lift or push 25-40lbs.
Typically works in an office/computer lab environment utilizing a
computer workstation and various software applications.
Position requires minimal travel.
