Position Title:
Product Test Engineer-110210
Position Description:
Avago, Fort Collins Fab engineering is seeking to
hire an expert product test engineer. This
individual will work in close collaboration with
product R&D to develop high throughput wafer sort
tests for next generation wireless components.
The qualified individual will apply their
knowledge of GaAs HEMT/HBT technology and test &
measurement to accomplish the following.
- Develop die sort test programs through
inception, integration, verification, and
release
- Perform wafer sort characterization
of both product and process at "first
silicon"
- Develop new test methodologies

Decrease time to market through use of simulation
tools to reduce cycles of learning
- Develop
and communicate design for test (DFT) guidelines
to MMIC designers
- Improve yield detection at
wafer sort.
- Establish correlation to package
final test
- Probe card design, device
stability
- Improve probe quality, reduce
rework
- Drive cycle-time improvements

Develop and implement control plans
- Perform
Gauge R&R studies
- Determine capital,
schedule, and resources to support new
projects
- Identify risk and mitigation
plans
- Expand capacity and capability

Improve cost and efficiency
- Provide test
support for reliability qualification
- Provide
guidance to operations and maintenance teams
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
• MS or BS EE or related field
• MS + 5 years
or BS + 10 years related work experience
• A
track record of results developing test
technologies that enable manufacture of new
products
• Experience testing III-V compound
semiconductors
• Experience in semiconductor
product development from concept to
manufacturing
• Ability to meet requirements of
fast paced schedules while balancing multiple
projects
• Experience making bench and
automated DC measurements using SMUs, LCR meter,
semiconductor parameter analyzer of active
devices
• Experience making bench and automated
RF/MW measurements using network analyzer,
spectrum analyzer, power meters of active
devices
• Working knowledge of measurement
uncertainty sources and principles
• Experience
with automatic instrument control using protocols
such as GPIB, LXI, PXI
• A track record of
meeting aggressive schedules with breakthrough
performance
• Demonstrated leadership of
multi-functional teams in software and hardware
system solutions
• Thorough understanding of
SPC and associated tools
• Programming skills
in C, Perl
• Excellent verbal and written
communication. Demonstrated excellence in problem solving
Desired Education/Experience/Skills
• MSEE (or related field) + 10 years related
experience
• 3+ years wafer sort experience
•
Experience with GaAs HEMT/HBT design and test for
wireless applications
• RF/MW circuit design
for multi-stage active circuits
• 3+ years
experience with analog and RF circuit simulation
tools such as ADS, HFSS, Momentum, SPICE, or
Cadence Vitruoso Spectre Circuit Simulator

Experience using ATE and specifically Agilent
4070, 83000, 84000
• Unix experience
•
Programming skills in C#, Java, XML, HP VEE
