status quo. As the first technical hire of the
team, your mission is to develop the web
application front end/backend and assist with the
web services required to support the iPad
application development. Your focus will be on
both front-end and back-end implementations and
design inputs. As the company grows, you may also
have the opportunity to assume a technical leadership position at ModeWalk.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
· 2 years developing web-based applications,
preferably experience developing e-commerce
websites, social media websites, or other relevant consumer web products
· At least 1 year developing scalable web applications with Python/Django
· 1 year with the setup/administration of either MySQL or Postgres databases
· Experience with Amazon AWS, Chef, Memcached or
Redis are strongly preferred, but not required
· Experience with iOS development is strongly preferred, but not required
· Experience with consumer web interface design
is strongly preferred, but not required
· High attention to detail. Experienced at
creating highly polished and user-friendly web user experiences.


JOB SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Python/Django
· JavaScript – (jQuery preferred)
· MySQL or PostgreSQL (Postgres) setup and
administration Linux - Basic setup, administration and troubleshooting
· HTML / CSS

The ideal candidate will:
- Understand the difference between a Hash table and a Linked List
- Be able to justify (and know) the time
complexities of the algorithms they pick.
- Associate “debugging” with “attach” and not “print”
- Be able to save the day through ssh
