Cooperative Robotics with "Simple" Robots

Project Description:

We are starting a project to explore cooperative tasks that can be
performed by "simple" mobile robots with low degrees of freedom (< 6
DoF) The robots should consist of a rolling platform (2 DoF) and with
a manipulator onboard (<4 DoF).

Your task in this project will be to help us spearhead this
investigation by building models to study different aspects of
multiple robots working together to achieve a common task. These
aspects include, but are not limited to:
    * Cooperative manipulation
    * Reconfigurability
    * Cartesian coordinate frame definition
    * Task planning

We are looking for a candidate in the area of Engineering, Computer
Science, Physics, or a related field with the following criteria:
    * An interest in robotics
    * Matlab/Simulink
    * C/C++
    * Previous experience in multi-body simulation software such as
SIMPACK or Modelica/Dymola is desired, but not required
    * Some experience with robotics is desired, but not required
    * Ability to learn on the go
