>Responsibilities
>-Join the Founder and the CTO on a two week trip to India in order
>to meet firsthand some
>of our contacts in manufacturing, distribution, international
>development, and agriculture.
>-Remain in India for 3-5 months following the trip for the duration
>of the pilot study.
>-Meet with our identified pilot participants and seek out additional
>potential participants
>once in India.
>-Help design the pilot study to result in valuable data and insight.
>-Install and instruct others to install our drip irrigation system
>at 20-50 pilot sites.
>-Visit each pilot site regularly to get user feedback, document
>progress, and solve any
>problems.
>-Be open to a variety of different housing options including:
> Renting an apartment in the closest city to the pilot study,
> where internet, supplies etc.

> Renting guest rooms by the week wherever it is appropriate.
> Using contacts to stay a period of time with a host family.
> Staying a night with a pilot study participant to better
> understand their needs.
>-Hire locals to provide you with transportation and translation services.
>-Interact professionally as a representative of our company with

>officials, development organizations, and suppliers.
>-Rigorously document the process and results of the pilot study.
>Minimum Requirements
>-2 years of college education
>-Adaptable, with "MacGyver" ingenuity
>-Strong written and oral communication skills
>-Easy to get along with
>-Demonstrated leadership experience
>-Some world travel experience
>-Able to commit to at least 3 months in India starting in fall 2008
>Preferred Attributes
>-College Degree or graduate study in one of the following:
>Mechanical Engineering, Product
>Design, Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Anthropology,
>Archeology, Education or
>any technical field.
>-Experience managing projects, initiatives, or pilot studies.
>-Experience in any of the following fields: Design for Extreme
>Affordability, Engineering,
>Product Design, Manufacturing, Green Technology, International
>Development or Foreign
>Aid, Foreign Policy, Education, Marketing and Distribution.
>-Passion for nature, gardening, backpacking, or other outdoor activities.
>-Hindi or other language skills
>-Experience living or traveling in India
>Compensation
>All costs of travel and living expenses, as well as a small stipend,
