Pelvalon is a venture-backed, early-stage,
medical device startup looking for a full-time
engineer to join us in developing a first-of-its
kind device for a large and truly unmet clinical need.

We are looking for a proven performer with the following attributes:

-3-10 years of experience in the medical device
industry, with the ability to take ownership of a
project and drive it through production
-Mechanical Engineering background (this is
flexible, but the position is focused on
development of physical products with macro-level
design features and mechanisms)
-Creativity and motivation
-Very hands-on
-Comfort in a rapid-pace work environment
-Able to lead and collaborate on prototyping and development efforts
-A working knowledge of quality systems, design
verification, manufacturing, and documentation


The current team at Pelvalon is versatile,
playing different roles in the company as
needed. As such, depending on overall fit, exact
responsibilities may vary. However, functions
will likely involve some or all of the following:

-Design and Development, including
Hands-on design and prototyping
Arts&crafts – style prototyping and assembly
Some machining
Fixture development
Solidworks modeling
-Materials selection
-Interfacing with vendors and manufacturing partners
-IP development
-Pre-clinical studies development and execution
-Quality System development – working with
consultants to build and maintain an appropriate quality system
-Documentation and Quality Engineering
Manufacturing documentation
Design Verification Protocol development and execution
Typical Quality System upkeep (calibration, reviews, inspections, etc.)
-Design for Manufacturability / Manufacturing Engineering
