We have openings at the company I currently work at for project engineers.
Company is Aera Energy, Owned By Shell Oil and Exxon Mobil.
Job is located about 30 miles from Bakersfield.
Looking for an experienced project engineer.
Position Key Deliverables:
* Find opportunities for cost reduction through process and
system optimization
* Design and implement facilities to support production,
treating, and disposition of oilfield fluids while minimizing impact
on the environment.
* Design and implement systems to ensure personnel safety and
ease of operation.
* Process control system and data acquisition design.
* Find opportunities to improve process and equipment reliability.
Position Roles and Responsibilities
* Work with reservoir engineers to understand the projected
production rates.
* Work with operating teams to understand constraints of existing
facilities infrastructure.
* Develop and apply project management skills.
* Develop understanding and apply process safety management
principles in all designs.
* Develop working understanding of scale and corrosion control techniques.
* Provide technical support to construction and operating personnel.
Critical Skills/Knowledge:
* Fluid dynamics and pumping/compression systems.
* Understanding of heat transfer and thermodynamics.
* Process control system design.
* Economic and profitability analysis
* Action-oriented
* Willingness to learn
* Work well within a team, and exhibit accountability to the
members of the team
* Desire to be part of something special
* Value honest, integrity, and respect when dealing with others
* Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience/Business Accomplishments Required for this Position:
* BS degree or higher in chemical, mechanical, electrical, or
civil engineering.
* 3+ years experience in project management
* Understanding of oil, water, and gas treating processes helpful.
