We are seeking a mechanical design engineer who will be a member of
the hardware team developing the next generation high throughput
genetic sequencers from Life Technologies. Candidate will assist the
hardware team in designing new components, tools and fixtures.
Candidate will run part jobs through on site and local machine shops
and also perform assembly, integration and test. Components span a
range from optics, sheet metal, fluidics etc. All design is performed in Pro/E.

Skills:
Pro/E skills a must
Solidworks, Labview, Matlab, Zemax and Python a plus

Education
BSME in mechanical, product or industrial engineering plus > 2 years
design experience
