Coulomb Technologies Job Description for Mechanical Eng:
===================================
Sustaining Design Ownership for Mechanical Products
      - Own mechanical design after ID/prototype completion
      - Own CTF dimension specification and general dimension tolerancing
      - Own DFM optimization within ID constraints
      - Own manufacturing drawings
      - Own process optimization with vendors
      - Own specification of hardware and ancillary components/materials
Prototyping and testing
      - Work with vendors to get prototype material
      - Build and test prototypes
      - Document issues and feedback information to design eng
      - Provide DFM/DFA feedback on all new components/assemblies
Produce Mfg component documentation
      - Review design documentation to ensure
that part definition specs are sufficient for mfg. Update as required
      - Tolerance review and studies
Support environmental and regulatory testing
Material engineering functions
      - Specify OTS materials and components
      - Work with design engineering to specify
mfg materials, such as plastic resins and metal alloys
Process development
      - Work with vendors to ensure mfg processes
are capable of meeting requirements

Job Requirements
===========
      - BS in Mechanical or Mfg engineering, or
equivalent education or industry experience with 5-10 yrs experience
      - Extensive CAD experience with any of the
major mechanical CAD tools—ProE, Autocad, SolidWorks, etc
      - Working knowledge of mfg processes
including: injection molding, die casting,
sheetmetal fabrication, electro-mechanical assembly
      - Understanding of Bill of Materials management
      - Ability to create and interpret part specifications and drawings
      - Ability to understand and recommend CTF dimensions for production parts
      - Understanding of basic quality measurement systems such as SPC
      - Familiar with basic hand tools and fabrication techniques
      - Experience with inspection and
measurement tools. Ability to inspect mechanical parts
      - Knowledge of GD&T

Nice to have
      - Experience with Arena PLM software
      - BOM management experience
      - FEA experience
