skilled UX leader to take our user-centered
design process and "alpha" customer experience to
new levels. The ideal candidate resonates

lead UX designer, is drawn toward solving hard
design problems in new product spaces, and gets

our whole selves to work, and pursue growth and impact together.


This is an early-stage company seed-funded by
curated a team of aligned entrepreneurs and angel
investors which includes Stanford School of
Engineering and Graduate School of Business alumni.


Role Details:



Leadership:

· Own the areas of: user research, user
interaction design, and visual design

· Identify core customer types and needs,
and transform unmet customer needs and business
opportunities into successful product designs

· Define and portray the company,
customer, and product “stories” visually

· Provide cultural and creative leadership
that results in delighted customers



Execution:

· Operate initially as design team of one,
growing to manage future team members and contractors

· Produce all necessary wireframes,
mockups, prototypes, graphic elements, etc.
needed to design and launch products.

· Identify and prioritize existing
usability issues and define solutions to address them

· Act as the “voice of the customer”
across all internal discussions and decisions that impact user experience



Skills Required:

· Minimum 5 years experience as
web-related lead UI designer, preferably
consumer-facing and transaction-oriented products

· Degree in human interface design,
interaction design, human-computer interaction,
or information design. Advanced degree in these fields a plus.

· Excellent understanding of user
experience design for the web and mobile

· Experience with formal design, usability, and research methodologies.

· Extensive experience with generating
wireframes, static and dynamic prototypes, and other mockup methods.

· Expert with: Photoshop / Illustrator

· Strong understanding of web technologies
(HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc), but coding not required for this position.
