The position:
Candidate will assist staff scientists in new and ongoing Human-Robot
Interaction research involving development of sophisticated conversation
skills as well as visual/auditory perception, processing, and integration
for Honda's ASIMO.
We are seeking an individual with excellent software engineering and system
development skills with interest in working on cutting edge robotics
research problems. The position is for a two-year appointment. Individuals
planning to eventually pursue a PhD degree are encouraged to apply.
Desired qualifications:
. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, electrical
engineering or related fields.
. Computational skills: C/C++, C#, Java, Perl, Training: Artificial
intelligence, computer vision, speech recognition, interactive dialogue

Motion Control research involving task-oriented control of ASIMO from visual
observations of human motion.
We are seeking an individual with excellent software engineering and system
development skills with interest in working on cutting edge robotics
research problems. The position is for a two-year appointment. Individuals
planning to eventually pursue a PhD degree are encouraged to apply.
Desired qualifications:
. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, electrical
engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields.
. Computational skills: C/C++, Matlab, porting S/W on real time OS.
. Training: Robot motion control, Intelligent control, Mechatronics, Robot
Kinematics and Dynamics.
