Description: Cranium is seeking a world-class Toy Product Development
Senior Manager to join our award-winning team. This position is responsible
for managing the development and day-to-day priorities of multiple Cranium
products. In development of a Cranium product, the Product Development
Senior Manager works closely with Craniums marketing, sales, editorial,
operations, and creative teams and partners to shepherd products through
the entire development cycle. The Toy Product Development Senior Manager is
charged with delivering against the product objectives through a rigorous
refinement of play pattern, product features, and functionality, striving
for continuous improvement based on competitive-set insights and customer
feedback.

The Toy Product Development Senior Manager will also be responsible for
managing a cross-functional product team and communicating critical product
development information to the company and to our expansive network of
cross-discipline partners in the most effective and efficient manner. The
Product Development Senior Manager ensures that products deliver on the
Everyone Shinespromise of the Cranium brand, as well as the Clever, High
Quality, Innovative, Friendly, and Fun (CHIFF) promise we make for all
Cranium initiatives.

Responsibilities:

" Deliver innovative and breakthrough play experiences for kids

" Manage a cross-functional product team to deliver products on brand, on
time, and on budget

" Communicate critical product development information to the company and
to our expansive network of world-class development partners in the most
effective and efficient manner

" Set production priorities and maintain quality standards

" Ensure product team maintains milestone progression

" Create and manage project schedules and budgets through product completion

" Coordinate between internal team and third-party vendors to meet project
deadlines

" Create simple prototypes and schematics to analyze functional performance
design

" Coordinate with prototype makers, engineers, and industrial designers to
solve complex product

Requirements:

" 5+ years of toy industry experience with a proven track record of
successfully developing and releasing consumer products

" Demonstrated ability to work with and manage diverse teams to deliver
exceptional products under tight deadlines

" Experience managing the development of high profile, high quality products

" Excellent project management skills

" Experience writing technical product specifications

" Skill in developing and managing complex budgets

" Ability to communicate complex mechanical and electronics problems to
engineering partners

" Excellent oral and written communication skills

" Demonstrated leadership skills and effectiveness in managing people

" Proven ability to conduct and drive meetings and workshops with peers and
executive staff

" Creative problem-solving skills for both product and process challenges

" Willingness to explore, learn, and employ new technologies as related to
innovative toys

" Intense attention to the details

" The agility to deal with big-picture implications of these details

" Aptitude with mechanical engineering

" BSME/product development degree

" Ability to conceptualize mechanical and electronics solutions for product
functionality demands a plus

" Ability to mock up basic functional prototypes for proof of concept desired

" Knowledge of MS Project preferred
