Job Description
Siemens' Technology-To-Business (TTB) Center in Berkeley, California
discovers promising startup companies and entrepreneurs, works
closely with them to develop their innovations and accelerate their
commercialization strategies, and launches products into markets of
strategic interest to Siemens.
We are currently seeking a bright, energetic individual with
experience in ME CAD/CAM design and knowledge in additive
manufacturing (3D printing) to join our TTB Center as an ME
Intern. Interns will work closely with senior professionals on the
TTB team. Full-time (40 hours per week) or part time (>10 hours per
week) and a 6 to 12 month term are strongly preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Literature searches and analysis of new technology, including
summarizing patents and technical papers on manufacturing related topics.
Assist TTB team in assessing new collaboration opportunities
(technical and business)
Contact and arrange for meetings with external partners as
needed. Attend meeting and keep minutes.
Build resources (databases, spreadsheets, software tools) to support
TTB team and update periodically. Prepare Power Point presentations
for presentations to management.

Knowledge and Skills:
Mechanical Engineering background combined with experience in design
tool a must
Comfortable working with Power Point and online resources
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be organized, able to multi-task, and have a high degree of
professional maturity
Duration of the Internship: 6 to 12 months strongly preferred, 3
months minimum.
