Position: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Palo Alto, CA

Summary:
Faraday Bicycles is accepting applications for a full time mechanical
engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an
exceptionally talented and creative engineer who shares our vision for
bringing a beautiful, innovative product to market.

Key responsibilities + expectations :
• Design of enclosures, housings, and mechanisms for electromechanical
components.
• Validation, testing, and iteration on existing mechanical and
electromechanical systems.
• Identify and work with domestic and overseas vendors for
manufacturing quotes, sourcing components, quality assurance, etc.
• Work with Faraday EE team for connector selection and wire harness
design and specification.
• Light electrical engineering and firmware/programming (ME218, etc).
• Product testing, assembly, construction, fabrication of all sorts.
• Documentation, preparation of drawing
packages for internal/external uses.

Experience + Qualifications:
• BS or MS in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 3+ years industry experience, preferably in consumer product design.
• Some to significant electromechanical (electric vehicle,
mechatronics, etc.) background a very strong plus.
• Experience with design and documentation for a variety of
manufacturing processes, including injection molding, casting, sheet
metal.
• Manufacturing/DFM experience a significant plus.
• Experience taking product to market strongly preferred.
• Good to excellent CAD (Solidworks) proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
