Position Location: Petaluma


Summary:
CamelBak Products LLC, a designer and manufacturer of products for
the recreational and military/tactical markets seeks a Senior
Mechanical Design Engineer to become a valuable member of the
Research and Development organization.

Position Responsibilities:
Senior level engineering design and development of multiple new
product initiatives
    * Technical leadership and successful implementation of the
following processes/methodology:
        * Injection, blow and compression plastic molding
        * Electronics integration
        * Rapid/Low volume prototyping
        * Fluid flow and thermal analysis
        * DFM, DFA, FMEA
    * Direct, productive interaction with domestic and international
contract manufacturers
    * Assist in creation and execution of verification and validation
NPI product testing plans
    * Maintenance of technically advanced knowledge base through
research of new materials, methods and processes

Qualifications:
    * Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
discipline; Master's Degree a plus
    * 8 years of demonstrable experience in the engineering
development and commercialization of successful, innovative, high
volume and high quality consumer products
    * Expert level Solidworks 3D CAD knowledge
    * Highly collaborative and creative self-starter with the ability
to communicate clearly with others in written and oral form.
    * Sound decision making skills and demonstrated ability to solve
complex design problems within deadlines
    * Tuned ability to balance technical risk with user reality
    * Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
    * Desire to think "big picture" while your hands get dirty in an
open, creative and fast paced small group environment.
    * Previous interaction with an Industrial Design group strongly preferred.


Work Environment:
    * Computer terminal use 6 hours per day.
    * Moving boxes of products for shipping. Ability to lift 50
pounds unassisted.
    * Standard Office. Domestic and International travel to include
weekends and for periods as long as two weeks at a time.
