Senior mechanical Engineer

Essential Requirements:
- B. S. Mechanical Engineering
or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5-10 years of related
experience, designing products for outdoor environment.
- Have a strong background
working with die casting, injection molded
plastics and sheet metal for product
design. Must have direct experience working with
machine shops, molding shops, and other kinds of
suppliers that fabricate parts used in our
product assemblies. Must have direct experience
designing for low-cost manufacturability and production
- Able to design independently
both products and manufacturing tooling using
Pro-e or Solidworks. Finite Element modeling
experience and thermal analysis a plus.
- Demonstrated experience as
self-starter in a mechanical design function.
- Manufacturing and documentation support as required.

Additional experience and skills:
- Ability to apply
comprehensive knowledge of engineering concepts
to the creation of new products and extension of existing products.
- Able to design parts and
tooling relatively quickly and meet time
deadlines in a rapid prototyping work environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact
effectively with both internal and external resources.
