Refocus Imaging is a startup spun out of Stanford
Computer Science and located in Mountain View.
We're developing the most advanced digital
cameras in the world. Our Digital Lens
technology allows us to implement critical
functions of a camera's optical lens in software.
This enables photographic features previously
thought impossible, such as the ability to change
the focus and depth of field after the image is
taken. More generally, the Digital Lens platform
remaps the static price-performance curve of
optics onto the exponential growth of
electronics. Refocus' technology won the ACM
Doctoral Dissertation Award, and the company was
recently funded by Greylock Partners, one of the
top venture capital firms in Silicon Valley.

A talented tinkerer who can take apart anything
and put it back together better, with ~5 years
experience in precision engineering. The
position carries end-to-end project
responsibility. Requirements: BS in Mechanical
Engineering or related fields. Pluses:
background in optics, electronics, rapid-prototyping.
