Training & Education Services Lead

Under the direction of the Director, Training &
Education Services, the T&ES Lead is responsible
for teaching curriculum to design industry
professionals, specifically around Product
Definition, Interaction Design, Visual Interface
Design and Collaboration with cross‐functional
teams. Must continue to keep a pulse on industry
trends, challenges and opportunities. Collaborate
with the Director to develop and expand the
current CooperU training materials that are
developed in the context of the organization’s strategic and operating plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach industry specific professionals (to
include Designers, Product Managers, etc.) who
wish to build and/or broaden their skills in product and/or service design

• Design and facilitate custom coaching and
training initiatives and workshops with client companies

• Identify and create new course and workshop offerings

• Work with clients to help instill a corporate
culture that can embrace and institutionalize UX

Design and integration of new practices into existing organizational structures

• Work as a liaison between the outside design
world and Cooper training opportunities –
identifying market gaps aand developing
strategies that satisfy the needs in the marketplace

• Assist in developing and implementing marketing
plans and projects for training and education offerings

Experience/Background Skills Required:

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience

• 5+ years experience of design experience,
ideally in design consulting or creative professional services

• 1-2 yrs. public speaking experience
(conferences, professional organizations, etc.)

• Demonstrated ability to teaching and coach in a consultative capacity

• Excellent communication, presentation and
computer skills (Proven ability to prioritize and
manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fun,
fast‐paced environment; solid and proactive problem solving skills

• Exceptional interpersonal skills ‐ must love
and thrive in a collaborative work place

• Market expertise in high tech, financial
services, telecom, and healthcare ideal
