MECHANICAL PRODUCT DESIGN ENGINEER

Responsibilities
    * Work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to identify
and develop new products for SolarCity
    * Perform mechanical, structural, seismic, and wind-load analysis
    * Prepare detailed 3D CAD models in SolidWorks
    * Prepare detailed design documentation including dimensioned
part drawings, Bills of Materials, assembly procedures, and test procedures
    * Execute prototyping, testing, and product design revisions
    * Identify, understand, and secure required certifications
    * Identify and manage suppliers, fabricators, tooling companies,
and vendors

Requirements
    * BS in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or other relevant
engineering discipline
    * Thorough and hands-on understanding of engineering principles
and the ability to implement them into viable products
    * 2 - 5 years experience designing products that have been manufactured
    * Deep knowledge of SolidWorks
