Sr Mechanical/Systems Engineer

Job description
    * Developing production equipment and tool design from concept to
installation. Equipment/tools may be for highly automated production
line, proof of principles, transitory phases, or product
development/test. Designs will mix innovation with industry/company
standards.
    * Work independently as well as work in small teams of engineers
and designers with overall team work and collaboration as a priority
    * Support development and manufacturing builds and well as
installation and sustaining needs.
    * Self-management and project management by utilizing and
providing project status, schedule and priorities.
    * Guide technical designs and hold design reviews.
    * Hands-on problem solving from conceptual design through troubleshooting
    * Ensuring products meet company and regulatory requirements
while processes follow company methods and standards.
    * Work with product development processes, including working with
process owners to develop equipment functional specifications and
providing documentation for equipment release/ hand-off.
  Job requirements
    * BSME, MS preferred, with high-level experience in mechanical design
    * Proficiency in Solid Modeling parts, assemblies and
drawings, 4+ years of continuous SolidWorks and PDMWorks preferred.
    * Hands-on experience with equipment and tool design including:
mechanisms, pneumatics, linear slides, material delivery systems and
fixture design.
    * Ability to provide expertise in one or more of the following
areas: equipment design, system design, industrial automation,
vacuum, fluid delivery, opto-mechanical, illumination, machine
vision, FEA and/or material selection.
    * Ability to provide first order analysis (example: thermal,
stress and tolerance analysis)
    * Hands-on background in leading projects and technical design.
Ability to track top-level requirements and tasks while involved with
the details are important.
    * Utilize proper and best known design practices
    * An understanding of basic fabrication methods, principles and
operations.
    * Familiarity with automation sequences.
    * High self-initiative with efficiency in daily work practices.
    * A proven track-record of strategically and tactically
completing engineering projects on time within a fast-paced
environment, where team collaboration, multi-tasking, and quick
decision making are required.
    * Good Communication skills to work with team, internal
customers, contractors, consultants, and external suppliers.
