Job Description

Skybox has a busy fall/winter/spring: launching
our first two satellites, full speed ahead design
and fabrication of our third satellite with an
eye for scalability of manufacture/test. It's
very exciting and we have a good opportunity to
bring on a part-time mechanical engineer.

The candidate should fit the following description:
- In school or recently graduated
- Wanting to work part time (10-30hrs/week)
- Hands on and comfortable designing/building
- Bay area resident (Skybox HQ in Mountain View)

Software experience:
- SolidWorks
- MATLAB
- Python (optional)
- Mastercam, or comparable (optional)

Completed coursework:
- ME203 Design and Manufacturing
- ME318 Computer-Aided Product Creation (optional)
- ME218 Smart Product Design (optional)
- Structural or thermal FEA (optional)

Education:
- BS or MS (or working towards) in the field of Mechanical Engineering

Experience:
- Demonstrated success with hands-on design projects
