I am assembling an advanced R&D team for my client and seek
solid research and development minded/oriented electro-mechanical
engineers. This is for a financially solid and stable US based
company with international operations. This advanced R&D team
will be located in San Jose, CA. This company is mid sized
and currently private, but has plans to go public this year.
They were very profitable in 2007 with revenues in the 1.5bil
range. This company has a long and rich history, which I can
share with you if you decide you are interested in learning more.
As a side note, there are Stanford ME alums (including 218ers
and 310ers) at the company.
Objective:
We are looking for an engineer to conceive, design and
prototype interface devices (e.g. mice, joysticks, touchscreens
and other advanced concepts) for mobile electronics applications.
This will require a broad set of technical skills, combined with
creativity and the ability to rapidly prototype and test concepts.
Skills
- Background in sensors (especially capacitive and optical)
- familiar with basic measurement techniques and signal analysis
- Human/machine interaction experience a plus
- software/firmware experience beneficial
- comfortable with electro-mechanical design
- PCB design
- Board level troubleshooting and testing
- System level ESD analysis and testing
Other
- self-motivated
- hands on approach and capabilities
- creative
- strong teamwork and leadership skills
Education
- Masters degree in physics, EE or ME or 5-7 years relevant
experience
