based in Berkeley, CA. Over the last
three years, Banyan has developed a new set of
optics to collect and concentrate sunlight.
Our optics platform can achieve concentrations of 2-500x, deliver high optical
performance, improve concentrator module and
system reliability, and integrate into
standard module form factors for ease of
manufacturing and adoption. Our first product is
a low concentration module that aims to
significantly reduce the costs and capital
investments of solar module manufacturing. Our long term goal is to make solar
competitive with conventional sources of energy.
