looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join
its world class team. This individual should be
a dynamic professional who is looking for a
rewarding future in one of today’s most exciting technologies.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Design of large assembly modules for our current and future products
* Utilize engineering knowledge to provide
solutions to challenging design problems
* Source off the shelf components to be used in technical designs
* Create and manage Solidworks CAD models, drawings and assemblies
* Manage top level assemblies in a PDM system environment
* Control drawing and model releases through an ECN process
* Work with a development team to relay design and engineering intent
* Work with contract manufacturing partners
through the design-for-manufacturing process to
bring products from prototype to production
SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Solid understanding of engineering principles
* Basic understanding of sheet metal, machining and welding techniques
* Ability to understand existing mechanisms and visualize improvements
* Excellent communication skills
* Basic understanding of engineering analysis tools (FEA, Thermo, CFD, etc.)
* Highly motivated and a self-starter
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
* 0-3 years related work experience
* Solidworks preferred
