Software Engineering Position
Job Description
* Bio1 Systems, Inc. is hiring an engineer with experience in machine learning (AI computer vision) and Android mobile app development
* Part-time contractor during the academic year, Summer Intern or full-time employment
* Project duration: April 2022 - March 2023
* San Carlos, CA (or Remote)
Responsibilities
* To develop a video dataset consisting of medical items used by Combat Medics and EMTs
* To develop a machine learning model for video object tracking and image classification using Vertex AI (or similar platform)
* To visualize the machine learning model output display in an Android smartphone application
Desired skills
* Experience working with Google Cloud, AWS or a similar cloud platform
* Experience with Android mobile app development preferred
* Strong attention to detail, exceptional level of organization
* Leadership experience in engineering
* Experience with algorithm design and technical documentation
* Experience with image data, a plus
* Familiarity with popular data libraries (sklearn, pandas), a plus
Required qualifications
* B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience
* Solid CS fundamentals
* US Work Authorization required (US Citizenship, Dual US-citizenship, Permanent US Resident, or Student Visa status).
