The boat is constructed out of .25” acrylic; it is propelled by maxon motors attached to paddle wheels, and it floats because it has been lined with jumbo pool noodles. The boat is matched to a controller using an iButton and iButton Reader. When the helm and boat have been matched up, the Team Affiliation LEDs will light up to indicate whether the boat is on the red or blue team. When the helmsman gives navigation commands, the boat will decode those commands and turn on the left and right motors accordingly. If the helmsman gives the command to shoot water, the bilge pump will turn on and water will come out through the water shooting nozzle. All electronics are housed and waterproofed in the Electronics Tupperware.
