Qualifications:
Applicant must have an academic background and
knowledge in the general mechanical
Engineering field, in particular, Components and
Systems Design. The successful candidate is
expected to teach, develop laboratories and
curriculum and to perform scholarly research.
This position requires excellent communications
skills, an aptitude for teamwork, a Ph.D. or
equivalent in Mechanical Engineering. Applicants
should have awareness of and sensitivity to the
educational goals of a multicultural population
as might have been gained in cross-cultural
study, training, teaching and other comparable experience.
Responsibilities:
Providing quality education is a first priority
for the College of Engineering and MAE Department
faculty. In addition to teaching, faculty
responsibilities include advising,
community/professional service, and scholarship.
Candidate must address the needs of a student
population of great diversity – in age, cultural
background, ethnicity, primary language and
academic preparation – through course materials,
teaching strategies and advisement.
Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Starting Date: August 23, 2008
