Positions are open for dynamic, hands on candidates, with 2-5 years
experience in thermal systems research, development, assembly,
demonstration and deployment. Candidates will be responsible for the
design, development, fabrication and/or testing of innovative prototype
systems or their components. The positions require a BS or MS. in
Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. Potential candidates should

Job Functions
The candidate who shows superior capabilities in some or all of the
below job functions will be considered.
- Designing prototypes, test fixtures and experiments
- Analyzing processes, using computerized tools
- Procuring system and test set up components, interacting
with inside and outside resources
- Setting up test fixtures, with computerized data
acquisition systems
- Running tests, with technicians' support
- Analyzing data, and refining test component designs
- Producing reports on test setup, test procedures,
results and data analysis
- Designing and assembling prototypes
- Assisting senior staff in formulating plans and
preparing proposals
Relevant Experience/Requirements
- Bachelor and MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, or
equivalent, required
- 2-5 years related work experience
- Ability to apply heat, mass and flow analysis, for
design and interpretation purposes
- Methodical in design of experiments and their execution
- Experience with data acquisition and emissions
monitoring equipment
- Skilled in documenting activities and maintaining
records
- Ability to manage time, resources and staff
- Ability to direct technicians
- Good communication and team working skills
- Comfortable working in a rapid pace environment, and
handling multiple projects, simultaneously
- Solids modeling is a plus
- Experience with Solidworks and/or Labview is an
advantage
