Overview
Avago Technologies is seeking to build an experienced Systems
Engineering team. We have an immediate need for a world class
candidate to join us on this team building exciting user interface
products for the rapidly growing mobile market. We are one of the
world's largest privately held semiconductor companies (formerly a

Objective:
Systems Engineer (Job Number 080179)
This team will continue to grow in the near future and there are
opportunities for significant technical leadership.
We are looking for a team to conceive, design and prototype input and
interface devices (e.g. mice, joysticks, touchscreens) for mobile
electronics. This will require a broad set of technical skills,
combined with creativity and the ability to rapidly prototype and
test concepts.
Job Deliverables
- The Ideal Candidate will be a strong contributor to a team
to build a User Interface sensory system to acquire, process and
report data to host.
There is currently a team of engineers in place (EE, ME, FW, etc.)
and the Systems Engineers will work with engineers in each of the
individual disciplines to build the overall system.
Skills
- Strong background in building prototype analog and digital
circuits required
- Background in sensors (especially capacitive) or mobile
consumer electronics preferred
- Ability to code system models (Matlab) to predict system
performance a plus
- Software/firmware experience (C, C++, Verilog, etc.) desirable
- Ability to generate requirements for customer software
design tools and engage with SW engineers to implement these tools
- Maintain supplier relationships to schedule deliveries of
critical components
- Ability to use basic bench equipment (Logic analyzers,
oscilloscopes, function generators, etc.) for board level
troubleshooting and test
- Comfortable with electro-mechanical design
- Comfortable meeting and making technical presentations to
customers as required
- Exposure to PCB design and related noise issues a plus
- Experience with system level ESD, EMI analysis and testing a plus
- Familiar with embedded communication protocols like I2C, SPI a plus

Education
- Masters degree in EE, physics, or ME with minimum 5-7+
years relevant experience

Compensation
Compensation is competitive and includes a significant bonus
