OVERVIEW:
Better Place has a unique opportunity for a
Automotive Alliances Intern. Better Place
provides a dynamic, fast paced work environment
for an individual looking to be part of a company
that has an ambitious plan to have a significant,
positive impact on the planet/environment. Better
Place will deploy an electric charging grid that
will provide an alternative to Gas-consuming
automobiles. We plan to grow from country to
country, metropolis to metropolis. Each step of
the way, we’ll move closer to making electric
vehicles available to the public. We are looking
for Automotive Alliances Interns who will be an
integral part of this mission. This position will
be based in Palo Alto, but will involve travel as well.
DUTIES:
In this role, you will be working on a series of
projects that will be part of Better Place’s
efforts to develop, demonstrate, and
commercialize electric vehicle technology. The
applicant will investigate electric vehicle
technologies, develop prototype electronic
Telematics devices, diagnose faults in electric
vehicles, manage and test prototype electric
vehicles, and assist in administrative tasks.

· Ability to flourish in a start-up environment and under pressure
SKILLS:
This role will be focused on the following technologies:
· Electric vehicle electronic control systems
· Automotive Telematics and Infotainment Devices
· Prototype Electric Vehicles
· Electric vehicle charging spots
Skills in the above technologies are highly desired.
EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum of 1 - 2 years of overall electronics development experience
· Strong verbal and written communication
skills are necessary due to dynamic nature of discussions
· Experience with the following technologies:
o Microcontrollers
o Electric Vehicle Drive Systems
o Mobile devices and automotive communication protocols
EDUCATION:
· BS degree in Engineering is required (in progress)
