Coulomb Technologies is looking for an experienced mechanical
engineer to help develop our industry leading networked charging
stations for plug-in vehicles.

General responsibilities include:
* Responsible for the design, documentation, and production release
of mechanical parts and assemblies
* Participate in DFM and cost reduction projects
* Provide mechanical engineering support to the assembly
line. Debug design related quality problems from the factory and
field. When required redesign parts or modify mfg processes to
resolve problems
* Create mfg documentation: Assembly drawings, control to function
drawings, and tooling drawings
* Perform tolerance analysis and studies
* Test mechanical parts and assemblies for function and reliability
* Perform first article inspections of custom parts and assemblies
* Support regulatory testing
* Maintain BOMS for mechanical assemblies
* Work with vendors to ensure mfg processes are capable of meeting
requirements

Job Requirements
* BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with 4 - 10
years of relevant industry experience
* Extensive solid CAD experience, preferably with Pro-Engineer or SolidWorks
* Experience in part design and documentation for various mfg
processes including: injection molding, die casting, sheetmetal
fabrication, and extrusion
* Understanding of Bill of Materials management
* Experience with inspection and measurement tools and the ability
to inspect mechanical parts
* Knowledge of GD&T and basic quality control systems
* Solid knowledge of engineering materials and their applications
* BOM management experience

Nice to have
* Experience with Arena PLM software
* FEA experience
* Experience working with US and offshore suppliers and contract manufacturers
