The Advanced Technology Engineer is responsible
for the transfer of leading-edge technologies and
know-how from U.S. partner companies, local
universities and internal partners into
automotive concepts that incorporate into the BMW
vehicle development process. The primary focus of
this position is on identifying appropriate
technologies and building software prototypes and
production ready code in the fields of computer
engineering, electrical engineering and computer
science by focusing on embedded software and
interface technologies. The position entails
visualization and realization of applications and
will support the complete process from
development of concepts to production ready code
which can be integrated rapidly into the
automotive environment in the area of mobile Consumer Electronics devices.
To be successful in this role you must have
current experience in embedded software languages
such as C, C++ and/or Java. Experience in
Consumer Electronics would be an added plus.
Strong project management and excellent
communication skills are required. You must
integrate well into a multi-cultural team
environment and must be willing to travel to
destinations in the United States as well as to
Europe. Fluency in German is a plus but is not required.
To be successful in this position, you must
possess 3 years of recent experience in Software
Development utilizing the tools mentioned
above. You must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s
Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer
Science. Candidates with a Master’s degree in
the afore mentioned discipline are preferred.
