Interaction Designers and UI Developers

Want to help world-class visual storytellers
touch the hearts of audiences worldwide? Walt
Disney Animation Studios is growing our
interaction design team, and looking for proven
talent along a continuum from UX research through
UI development. We seek curious, playful
problem-solvers who can work together to:

Design: Habitually distill complex problems down
to essentials. Know when to rough things out, and
when to refine. Balance competing constraints to
meet varied needs. Draw from experience with a
range of interactive media: desktop, web, mobile,
embedded and virtual/mixed-reality.
Develop: Collaboratively architect, code, and
deliver sophisticated software systems that
facilitate complex multi-user workflows. Author
intuitive user interfaces underpinned by robust,
sustainable logic and data structures. Actively
contribute to ongoing refinement of our studio's
software development practices.
Research: Explore the everyday working worlds of
our artists, and return with insights for tuning
their tools. Coax unspoken practices and
perspectives into words and pictures that orient software development efforts.
Tinker: Create UX prototypes in any medium
necessary to investigate a concept: software or hardware, paper or video.
Educate: Raise awareness, skill and expectations
regarding effective interface/interaction design within our studio context.
