Better PLC - Summer Internship
This is the ?Google? opportunity of electric automotive
transportation. Come be a part of an exciting project which will have
an immense impact on climate change, the transportation industry and
the way we commute on a daily basis.
Located in Palo Alto, California, Better PLC is a start-up company
still in stealth mode, which is focused on scaling deployment
non-hydrocarbon powered cars through a combination of infrastructure,
pubic policy and financial frameworks. The company establishes and
manages a multi-year transformation mega-project that drives complete
transformation at the scale of city to country.
This summer we are looking to build a series of electric car concepts
and prove technical feasibility of various ideas which will serve as
prototypes for our car and battery manufacturers (we are working with
various manufacturers including one of the top 5 carmakers in the
world).
Project Timeline - We will be starting the project in late June and
expect to wrap up this phase of the project 10-12 weeks later.
Internship Team - We are looking for 4 individuals
Responsibilities
? Work ?hands-on? with electric and/or plug-in hybrid cars to test
concepts and reconcile vendor supplied data
? Manage the integration of batteries, power electronics,
motor/generators and conduct reliability testing
? Write technical reports
Qualifications & Requirements - The ideal candidate will possess:
? Demonstrated interest in electric and/or hybrid automotive technologies
? At least 3 years of ?Mechotronics? experience ? integrating
batteries, motor controllers, and power electronics in an automotive
environment
? Basic electrical engineering principals understanding and experience
with test equipment such as ?National Instruments?
? Ability to work in a start-up environment, self motivate and multi-task
